1st March - St David's Day is celebrated in Wales and by Welsh people throughout the world on 1st March. Saint David is the patron saint of Wales. He was a Celtic monk who lived in the 6th Century and was Archbishop of Wales.
8th March - Shrove Tuesday & Pancake Day.
9th March - Ash Wednesday
19th March - Gaura Purnima

As part of our R.E. curriculum pupils have learnt about the importance of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and Lent in the Christian calendar. Our cooks Mr. Edwards and Mrs. Rao prepared delicious pancakes for the pupils who felt inspired to find out more about the special day.
