Here is an introduction to our teaching and support staff members so you can get to know them. Rakha Bhakoo Executive Headteacher Statement to follow
Deputy Headteacher Mrs Ranger is an effective educator and trainer with over 20 years experience in educational settings - government; local authorities; primary; secondary; further and higher education. Her senior leadership/management roles include Local Authority Advisor for Mentoring, Assistant Headteacher, Key Stage 2 Co-ordinator, Lead Professional for the DFES Aiming High Project and Student Support Co-ordinator. During the last 5 years she has worked as an Education Consultant across a range of areas including: - parent partnership; learning and teaching; study support; equality and diversity; leadership and management; exclusions from school; and young people's leadership; working with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations such as Cambridge University, the Institute of Education and Ishango Science Club. Over the last 3 years she has worked as a National Manager for the educational charity, the University of the First Age, delivering bespoke training for teachers, adults other than teachers (AOTTs), parents and young people across the UK.
Mrs Clark has taken a leading role in setting up and managing private nurseries and the very first independent Hindu primary school in the UK. She has been teaching for over 25 years and has had experience in both the state and private sectors of education. Extensive global travel and working in a variety of countries in Africa led to her celebrating the richness of cultural and inter religious diversity. Mrs Clark has a BSc Honours degree as well as a PGCE degree in Primary Education. Mr Hirani Teacher Mr Hirani is a qualified teacher with PGCE in Primary Education as well as a BSc degree in Mathematics with Computing. He has spent over five years teaching in the state primary education sector. He enjoys finding creative ways to implement ICT and Mathematics across the curriculum to ensure children get the necessary life skills in these key areas. He has been studying the Vedas for over 10 years.
Mrs Pandya has spend over four years teaching and has had experience of teaching both in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. She feels strongly about providing an individualised curriculum which meets the needs of all children. She is extremely passionate about the early years and is constantly reflecting on her own practise. Miss D Bridgmohun Teacher Miss Bridgmohun has been working in both private and public schools for the past 5 years. She is a qualified teacher and has also obtained a degree in Information Technology in South Africa, where she also worked as an IT Lecturer before coming to London.Statement to Follow
Mr H. Kular I hold an advanced diploma in business studies and have attended various health and safety courses held at Harrow Council. Courses include HSE at the work place, risk assessments, safety and security in the work place, fire warden/fire marshal training. Mrs N. Kumar Mrs Kumar joined Krishna-Avanti Primary School in January 2010. She is thoroughly enjoying working with parents, children and the community. Mr J Hwangbo Office Manager/Admissions Officer after achieving a first degree in Public Administration, Mr Hwangbo served in the Korean Army as a Lieutenant. In 1997 he joined ISKCON, serving at Bhaktivedanta Manor for 10 years. In 2008 he completed a MA course on Indian Philosophy.
Mrs Parmar has a Bachelors degree in Microbiology (B.Sc.) and is a qualified Laboratory Technologist. She recently completed a Childminding qualification, Interpreting skills for hospitality OCN level 3 and Learning and supporting Assistant level 2. She enjoys using her creative skills in the class rooms with the children.
Mrs B Radia Teaching Assistant Year Key Stage 1 & 2 Mrs Radia has vast experience of working with children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, both as a private tutor and as a teaching assistant. She is passionate about working with and creating awareness of children with special needs.
Mrs. Patel has a BA degree in English literature from India. She completed level 3 in CLANSA TEACHING ASSISTANT COURSE in 2005 and Level:2 Certificate in Support work in school in 2009. She is presently completing a Level: 3 child care course for foundation stage and 0-16 years.
Mr Edwards joined ISKCON at Bhaktivedanta Manor in 1989. He lived there, learning the Vedas and being trained in how to apply their conclusions to everyday life for the next 11 years. This led to him being the kitchen manager in 1999, when he cooked on a daily basis for the resident and local congregation of about 150, and at festival time for up to 5,000 people. Following that, he was the head cook at Govindas Vegetarian restaurant in Swansea, and was assistant to the head cook at Buckland Hall residential retreat centre in Wales. He has been kitchen manager at Krishna Avanti since February 2010, and finds it a rewarding challenge to make the meals as tasty and nutritious as possible.
Mrs Rao has a BA (hons) degree in political science from Delhi University. She has been cooking for 100-200 people in the east London namahatta (sanga) for the last 4 years. |
